Our Lifts and Their Features

Platform lifts are typically installed to allow wheelchair users to negotiate two or three steps leading into a building, or flights of stairs inside one. They are compact with minimal pit or machine room requirement, and most are free standing and only require a single-phase power supply. A platform lift is ideal for wheelchair users in situations where a normal passenger lift is not possible or a wheelchair ramp is not appropriate.

movemanSKG supplies a wide range of platform lifts, for a number of commercial and industrial applications. Our platform lifts range from the Prestige, popular with school applications, to the Premier, designed to accommodate a small change in floor levels.

  • Prestige - totally self-contained unit, complete with a shaft and no need for a supporting wall structure. For larger travel heights between floors. LANTAC Type Approved.
  • Supreme - free-standing platform lift with no pit requirement. Minimal site preparation is required. For travel heights within a storey.
  • Prima - small, compact self-contained unit. Does not require a pit, and can be installed in just a few hours. For changes in height of 2-3 steps.
  • Excel - scissor liftable, low visual impact having no enclosure. Very robust and reliable and particularly appropriate in external prestige environments.
  • Premier - designed to accommodate a small change in floor levels. For use on stairs with an incline angle between 20 and 45 degrees.

The load capacities of our lifts range from 150kg to 400kg. Some are suitable for indoor use only, whilst others can also be installed outside. All our platform lifts come with standard safety features including an alarm button. A two-way emergency communication system is available on the larger models.

Optional features are available with some of our models, including Designated User Control (DUC), which prevents unauthorised use of the lift. This is ideal in schools or other environments where there may be children present. For more information on the DUC switch, see Stepping Out articles in issue 16 and issue 4.
